I don't usually get too emotionally involved with TV shows. Usually the acting is so poor or the writing so dumb I just can't ever see how it connects to real life. Tonight, however, was a different story- all because of Grey's Anatomy. Wow. The final scene with Denny and Izzy in the hallway was so powerful- it was one of the few times I have shed tears while watching. The rest of the show wasn't even all that terrific. It was just that one scene and I was done for.
We are looking at a huge winter storm this weekend. The weathermen (people?) are still hesitant to say exactly how it is all going to go down, but it looks as though it will be the biggest storm of the winter for us. That really isn't saying much though, since we have had record low snowfall this season. I am excited at the possibility of being snowed in. That is the best part of winter! A big pot of soup, a good book, a snuggly blanket and a winter storm and I am set. ;)
Derick finally got a call back from that place he interviewed with last week. They have him doing a second interview next Thursday. I hate waiting that long but I know it's part of the game. I suppose after the next interview they will make him wait another two weeks to give him an answer. Ugh! I am soooo not a patient person! I know Derick is anxious too. Things at his current job are not all that great- he gets pretty tired of dealing with the garbage that goes on when you have poor managers. I think he is ready for a change. Hopefully soon!
